Four.

June 23, 2009
Four years ago today my buddy showed up- a week later than expected.

Elijah has given our lives new purpose and direction and taken us to places we never thought we'd go.  We've laughed and cried and worried and rejoiced and covered everything in prayer.  We scarcely remember a time without his sweet presence.

Our little buddy has come a long way and leapt over countless hurdles since his autism diagnosis about two years ago.  We still struggle with speech and socialization, but the progress we've made is remarkable.  We have never been more proud of our kiddo!

PSALM 139: 13-16
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
